I hope you are finding this mild winter to your liking. I sure am! Randall and I went to Swan Farm and picked out a Christmas tree with Arlo in the crisp, bright, late morning sun today. It was a welcome change to the usually harried outing in the freezing rain and dark; rushing home with the tree sliding backwards off the roof of the car whilst gripping the twine above our heads with white knuckles - laughing all the way, ho ho ho! Here's hoping for a stress-free, laughter filled, holiday for all!
Here is a detail image of one of the newer paintings that I'm really excited about: "Raspberries 02", oil, acrylic, and pigment on panel, 30 x 40 inches. I'm having a great time figuring out glazes, and how certain colors really glow depending on layering and what colors you put next to them.
I'm thrilled to be included in a holiday group exhibition at RB Stevenson Gallery "Visual Language" on view from December 12 through December 30, 2015. The exhibition opens with a reception at the beautiful La Jolla gallery on Saturday, December 12 from 5-8pm. Thank you, Ron!
Also a thank you to Dante Rodriguez for all his hard work organizing a massive group exhibition of more than 50 NEO artists for his "Juntos" exhibition. Juntos is Spanish for together. The Museum of Hispanic and Latino Cultures has partnered with the Beth K. Stocker Art Gallery at the Lorain County Community College to bring this diverse group of artists together for an exhibition from December 12 through December 20, 2015. The exhibition opens with a reception Saturday, December 12 from 4:30-9:30pm.
I hope everyone has a lovely holiday season!!
